Mozilla abandoned cheap mobile phone project

In the second half of last year, Mozilla Organization announced the smart phone project for only 25€. The new phone should be based on Firefox OS and was designed for less demanding users and those who have used cell phones. Hardware of the novelty should include a 3.5-inch (8.9-centimeter) 480 by 320 pixels screen, 1GHz Spreadtrum 6821 processor, 128MB of RAM and a removable 1,250mAh battery. For data is available 46MB of memory which is expandable by using microSD card up to 4GB. Despite the extremely low price the smartphone measures only 115.9 X 62 X 11.8 mm and weighs 104 grams with support for 2 SIM cards.
Although the project of affordable smartphone harvested a lot of interest among users of telephone services, the project will most likely fell into the water. The first man of Mozilla, Chris Beard, stopped with developing super cheap mobile devices, since the interests of the company in the last six months have changed significantly. It seems that Mozilla will in the future focus on making powerful smart phones that will suit somewhat advanced users of mobile services, which means that they will be much more expensive. We can only hope that the new mobile phones will be slightly more affordable than smart phones currently leading by companies such as Samsung, Lenovo, HTC and others.
